This isn’t a joke, this is a true story, but I am sure all the Marines out there will find it funny...
There was a mob in Somalia walking up to the gates of the U.S. Embassy and when they got there they were threating to attack...until they looked up and saw Marines pointing guns down on them. The leader of the group said "Oops! My mistake. I thought you were Army." The mob then dispersed and walked away.

Link, are you a marine? I would think that anyone who fights for his country would be considered a man, reguardless of what branch. Some of us had to join the Army, since only the navy and the Army have medics, but I don’t care if you are in the Salvation Army, if you are willing to help, I salute you. Of course, if you can’t handle any commitment to freedom, I guess it’s easy to judge the rest of us. |

The Marines are terrible. There nowhere near intelligent. They go in , stir shit up , then leave , leaving a MESS for when the real soldiers arrive , aka THE ARMY. The army straightens the shit out. Then if the marines fucked up to bad. We end up sending one of the most intelligent type of teams out into the field that belong to the military period. AKA spec ops. To entirely fix the crap the Marines made or do anything worthy of the word progress..

That being said, all you army fucktards are on here talking your lip about the corps, but you know when face to face with a Marine you would never say such things. Yes it is true, the Army does clean up after the Marines, but that is only do to the fact that we are way to busy kicking ass to stay and police. TRUTH- if a Marine wants to join any branch of the military, he can just jump right in.. whereas if anyone in some other branch wants to join the Marines, they must go through boot camp. And also, if you Army boys are the cleanup guys, and the Marines are the ones that go through the streets first, why are there twice as many fatalities in the army than the Marines? Because the Marines ARE an elite force. They are trained to smoke any mother f-er’s that come across them. That’s why every Marine is a rifleman. The army doesn’t even require every soldier to qualify. Bottom line, when shit hits the fan around the world, the Marines will be there in 72 hours. How long will it take for everyone else to come clean up after us? |

I have a brother in the Marines and a Brother in the Army we bust on each other all the time.Every ones is trying to say there branch is better...Fuck that the army wouldn’t be shit if the marines weren’t what they are and Vice Versa...and without the Navy blowing shit up for both branches and flyign shit in they wouldn’t be what they are and the Air Force...Well they do somthing good. man 3rd ID came in during OIF I and fucking destroyed baghdad. im in iraq now, and believe me were not here to babysit. besides, SF, 82nd, RANGERS, 101st, cav scouts....those are some real elite forces right there. ask someone from any one of them if the marines are better than they are and they would laugh their asses off. |

I started in the NYANG(National Guard) , in 1989 . When war broke out I was heading into the Navy. I graduated Boot went to Corps School . My first duty station was Camp Pendelton in Californai, for Hospital Corpsman School. I then went to Twenty Nine Palms for duty at Naval Hospital. I went from there to Okinawa with duty to the III MarDIv . I finished my 10 years in Hawaii as a Corpsman stationed at NMC Pearl Harbor. After all that I have this to say about the Armed Services. Each Service is the pinicle of their proffession. The US Navy can defeat the worlds navies hands down. That includes our Nato Allies. The USMC is the best at what they do. USAF smooth operators , but my Marines and I ate Airman for breakfast at the Kedena AFB enlisted club, lol. Finally the US Army destroyed in 100 hours in the desert of Iraq the best formations of the Iraqi military during the first Gulf War. We as Americans always have to have the best , for its our doom that we don’t. |

thats crazy i found this on the internet, My drill instructor told me about this, he was there. Was similar story, but he said that the army couldnt control the rioting at the embassy, so 1 platoon of marines marched to the embassy, and by the time they got to the gates, the mob was gone.... Something like that, but you still get the idea, the army is an Occupying force... the marines are a conquering force, we take over territories, than let they army TRY to occupy it, than we come to their aid when they cant control the situation.
