A young blonde lady on a long haul flight is trying to get to sleep. But the young man sitting next to her asks if she wants to play a game to help pass the time away. No matter how polite she is, he keeps on pestering. In order to please him, and hopefully shut him up, she agrees. He says, ‘It’s a question and answer game. You ask me a question and if I don’t know the answer I give you £100. I then ask you a question but if you don’t know the answer you only have to give me £10.’
‘OK,’ says the blonde, ‘you go first.’ The young man thinks and says, ‘What is the distance from Earth to the moon?’ The blonde immediately says, ‘I don’t know,’ and puts her hand into her bag, pulls out a £10 note and gives it to him. She then turns away and closes her eyes. ‘Right,’ says the man, ‘It’s your turn. Ask me a question.’ Reluctantly, the young blonde turns to him and asks, ‘What goes up a mountain with 3 legs, and comes down with 4 legs?’
The man thinks hard, gets out his laptop and accesses the internet to no avail. He e-mails some friends, again to no avail and after an hour he says, ‘I don’t know, I give in.’ He hands her £100. She takes the money and turns away to try to sleep again. ‘Wait a minute,’ he says, ‘What is the answer?’
She turns to him, grinning from ear to ear, hands him £10 and says, ‘I haven’t got a clue. Now can I go to sleep?’
