What to call Natives of Canada

The indigenous people of the United States used to be referred to as “Indians” supposedly because Christopher Columbus thought he was landing in India when in reality he was in North America.
The indigenous people of the United States did not like the term “Indian” and lobbied successfully to be referred to as “Native Americans”.
What do you call an indigenous person from Canada?

I thought the Irish were drunks, anyway, the ability of "Indians" to laugh at themselves is a trait that is highly revered, Iighten up my Injun brothers and sisters. There used to be a site called Injunjokes.com, it is no longer available, but this site was created by "Indians" for "Indians", and there you could find all of the raunchiest, filthiest, racist, even clean jokes about "Indians" anywhere. This joke in comparison is lame, and doesn’t merit a chuckle. Got any better ones? |
