Rick you must be one very useless mechanic if you fixed it right it would be ok.
I owned one holden 202 motor that pulled the top off pistons but I vowed that it wouldn’t beet me 3 fully reco motors later I said fuck it has beaten me.
my father was the same but he percervered for years
my son had an ss commodore 99 couldn’t keep back tyres on them (no not with the power it was that u beut independant susspension that was the model with the gen III V8 that needed doing up at 60,000 km and there were a lot of them.
One Question. HOW OLD WAS THE FORD THAT YOU SPENT ALL THAT TIME ON.
WAS IT 2_3 YEARS OLD LIKE THE ABOVE HOLDENS.
