Paddy the Astronaut

Paddy was an an Astronaut,
who went to the moon
He told his wife that
he would be back soon.
When Paddy, touched down
he thought he had struck gold,
but it was only sand and rock
that was many light years old.
When Paddy came home,
it was a cold and windy day.
He landed on a mud slick
not far from Gallway Bay.
The rocket began to sink,
from the weight of sand and rock,
and now Paddy’s life
is a race against the clock. |

It’s not even a joke. Even as a poor attempt at poetry.....horrible
The wonder is while the rhythm and metre stink, you actually made it rhyme. |
