Yes, all of Europe was in a bit of a state after WW1: Germany’s balance of trade surplus was siphoned off to pay reparations for all the damage it had done to Belgium and France, while the governments of Briatin, France and Italy were paying one-quarter of their annual budget to America to pay off war debts. By the late 1920s, however, things were picking up (the "roaring twenties"), people were prosperous, and support for Nazis (which had been high in Bavaria in 1924, when the French and Belgians invaded the Rhineland when the German government got behind on its reparations) dwindled to an all-time low. Come the Wall Street Crash, however, desperate poverty turned people to the Communists or the Nazis. |

Even Mussolini rejoiced when he heard of the heavy German casualties in Russia, and remarked that it might be in Italy’s best long-term interests if Germany lost the war. |

Holocaust:
OF COURSE IT HAPPENED! Where did those 6 million Jews go? Before the war, about one in three people in poland was Jewish - after the war, there was not a Jew to be found! There are thousands of Jewish survivors who remember being in the camps, there were tens of thousands of American and Russian soldiers who remember liberating the camps (one of my grandfathers was with the American division that liberated Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, and was horrified, and it stuck with him for many years to come, and he’d often tell us about it), the SS guards who remember doing the killing. |

qbanita, how do you explain the photos, the films (first shown in Britain in 1946), the two concentration camps that still stand in perfect condition (and attract thousands of tourists every year), the vast archives of documentation the Germans, with their Teutonic passion for thoroughness, kept? The confessions of leading Nazis at the Nuremberg trials, the minutes of the meetings where the Nazis palnned it, recordings of phone messages where German administrators talk of Jews being ’evacuated’ (including one where the guy says, "20,000 have been exterminated...I mean evacutated!" and the other one says "Careful, you fool! You don’t know who might be listening!" And when it was over, the Allies etc forced hundreds of thousands of German civilians to march throught the camps and witness them with their own eyes - and even help clear up the bodies! |

Indeed, reports of the Holocaust first circulated in the Swiss press in late 1942. The British knew from cracking Germany’s codes what was going on, and weren’t sure whether they should say anything...but in the end they condemned it, and the Nazis knew their codes had been cracked and changed them. |

I’m pretty open-minded (or paranoid, if you prefer) when it comes to un - p.c. stuff. I detest Islam for example, and they actually ARE hurting us, and trying to take over the world. You only need to turn to a Saudi Arab tv channel, and there are talk shows where they’re discussing if the Arab world will ever defeat the West, and they’re saying "Obviously we cannot compete with them militarily, but if we keep immigrating there at this rate, Europe will be mainly Muslim by 2075". |

We all know there IS a worldwide Muslim terrorist network - Al Qaeda, and there are plenty of local groups either under its umbrella or independent, from Spain to the Philipines. There are hundreds of websites bragging about how many whites have converted to Islam recently (30,000 in USA since 9-11). In Germany recently, there was a show where they bugged a mosque, and the Mullah’s sermon was about how white people reek of cheese, and stink because they don’t shave their pubic hair... And so on. In every Western nation there are literally thousands of Islamic organisations, councils, networks, associations etc. |

And don’t think our victory is a foregone conclusion. We beat the Communists as much with our anti-Soviet propaganda (keeping our children from being misguided, and showing the people behind the Iron Curtain they could have a better life...) - imagine if we hadn’t been able to "offend Communists" - "It’s a peaceful and tolerant ideology" etc. But old Osama is laughing at us: after 1000 years, the Kosovo Muslims have finally triumphed and expelled the last Christian inhabitants; there are 16 million Muslims living in Europe (average white birth-rate 1.5; average Muslim 3.2), and France will be a 51% Muslim nation by 2036 (hence the ’French’ were anti- War in Iraq, it was ’their’ Muslim kin we were attacking! There’s a trickle of converts to Islam; Canada has even introduced Sharia law, for f###’s sake! Do you think APPEASEMENT will work?! |

P.S. Matthew and qbanti, if there was no Holocaust, how do you explain what my grandad saw? Indeed, his American commander was so sickened when the SS officer marched up, saluted, and proudly reported what they had done, that he took out his pistol and shot the guy there and then! ANd how do you explain Anne Frank? ANd the 6 million others? e.g. those Poles scratching their heads afterwards saying, "Hey, where did all our Jews go?" Or the Mayor of Copenhagen providing boats so the 7000 Jews of Denmark could flee into Switzerland, or France’s Jewish population falling by 75% between its last pre-war census and its first post-war one? And the fact that many Nazis were not tortured, but BOASTED about it! (Or defended themselves saying: "I only wanted them all to be sterilised: they’d have died out soon enough, but in the meantime could have worked in our factories...") |
