Thirty years ago Herman James, a Tennessee mountain man, was drafted by the Marines. On his first day in boot camp the Corps issued him a comb. That afternoon a Corps barber sheared his head. On his second day the Corps issued him a toothbrush. That afternoon a Corps dentist yanked out several of his teeth. On his third day he was issued a jock strap. The Corps is still looking for him....
