unfortunately it is quite obvious that a polish person wrote it for two reasons:
1) americans don’t use the word "Pole" to describe a Polish person.
2) americans use contractions almost exclusively
an American would have written:
"do you know why Polish people are so dumb? Because they’re Polish!"

It’s sad to see Poles taking such offense at these jokes, and using them as an excuse to launch mean-spirited invective at Americans. The US and Poland, and their peoples, have centuries-long excellent relations with each other, both being instrumental to each other through numerous conflicts. The US can not say that about many of its "allies", and Poland can certainly not say that about any of its fellow European countries (save England).
You will see in the listing of jokes that there are (even more) jokes about the Irish and Italians, two other nationalities that Americans also have deep affection for. |
